I encouarage you and all beginners to keep writing quality blogs for pleasure. You will earn nothing for a long time, but eventually your followers will come. A high quality comment on a popular blog may get others looking at what else you wrote. They want to see high quality interesting blogs, not short things with little substance.

A high quality comment on a newbies blog will almost definitely earn you a follower.

Comments like the one you made are seen for what they are - an attempt to draw attention to yourself. You were too lazy to even read the blog, let alone think of something interesting to say. You will likely be flagged if you keep doing that.
