PSA: Call to Developers -- Update Your ApplicationssteemCreated with Sketch.

in #steemdev7 years ago

Developers of Steem!

Are you using the RPC Node located at https://steemd.steemit.com? If so ... you should really check out this post by @steemitdev and get around to updating your app to use the new endpoint.

(Copied from the linked post since its so Jussi)

The proper (official) endpoint is https://api.steemit.com

Ensure that your applications are using this, as https://steemd.steemit.com will be deprecated soon! And plus ... The new endpoint is LIGHTNING FAST. Maybe you notice faster speeds on https://steemit.com today... You are not wrong.. Jussi is doing its job and providing a fast caching layer in front of Steemd.

Reducing the read load on the official Steemd node increase the reliability of users getting transactions posted to the blockchain. This results in faster response from commenting, voting, resteeming, transfers, and more.

https://rpc.steemliberator.com is also utilizing Jussi

My own full node has an Nginx proxy in front of it that I have pointing to my own instance of Jussi, as well as the steemit public jussi instance in case of a failover or error/timeout. On top of this, I also have the most reliable public full RPC nodes on the list as failover with a 500ms connect timeout for each.

The result of this is a highly reliable, optimized system to process as many requests as possible for all users without delay.
