MY FIRST TIME WORKING ON A CIRCUIT BREAKER COMPRESSOR

Hi folks I have a craving for sharing how my first day encounter went at my place of internship.

As a matter of first importance am by and by experiencing my entry level position at the TRANSMISSION COMPANY OF NIGERIA,BENIN SUB-REGION.

Today, a week after week routine upkeep was done on a circuit breaker(EGBIN LINE) at the 330 transmission line,and it was discovered that one of the compressors of the circuit breaker was running at a steady consistent speed,which was not assume to be so.

My administrator said two things more likely than not turned out badly with the compressor.It's either there was an air hole between the piston and the rings or the interfacing join was broken subsequently sucking in air,and was not longer compacting.

This required a prompt consideration since it can turn into a hazard.So we distinguished that the interfacing join was broken and must be replaced.The compressor was expelled and was taken to the workshop where it was overhauled and was reclaimed to the switch yard for re-establishment for the resumption of administration.

Being a part of this,was like opening a new chapter in my life because i have only read about it but never seen it..........seeing it was an opportunity which i am grateful to God for.
