Norwegians at a meetup

So today, friday the 12th of August, we steemers in Norway met together after work and had some beers. It was all arranged through our Norwegian meetup channel. So we where lucky enough to have gotten some help from the Steem community so I could buy beer for all these great people! We got some help from this post https://steemit.com/steemevents/@vongohren/norway-s-first-steemit-meetup

So thank you Steemit community!

We had some great discussions, some newbies who got really engaged in the new platform and some more experienced steemers like @clains and his Bitspace team! They did some interviews which probably will show up soon on the feed here on steemit!

We were talking about what we could do more to get people in Norway engaged, what kind of collaboration posts could we do, since we all are Norwegians, what future meetups should consist of, and how we could make it easier for Norwegians to be able to cash out if needed. Great ideas came out of this!

We look forward to the next meetup and hope to see more stories of steemers gathering from around the world!

All for one and one for all! Good to see you all onboard. Namaste :)

Hey, fun to see that you have started Norway's first meetup.
greeting @xpilar from Fredrikstad

There should be more of these meetings, every community should organize their own meetings and create tutorials in their native language to spread the word about Steemit. This is starting to get very exciting.

Amazing, I will surely do it in my hometown soon and hopefully extend to other cities. Hope I can start to receive rewards from steemit so I can also start this journey.

I would love to see a meetup in Sweden! :) Any takers?

Why dont you do it?

wondering what you are drinking ?

We were drinking just plain Norwegian pilsner. Or want some more details?

No pilsner sounds great cheers!

@vongohren this is a great effort, hope other communities will copy same. But do not forget to invite non members too.

Of course! But meetup is a open community which everybody can join, so its open for everybody. It's just an easy platform to get the promotion out and easily organize an event!

Good to see the platform being put to good use

Wish i could have been there but it's a long drive from Bodø. :)

If you're in Oslo, let me know!
