Steemfest Ticket Giveaway!
Hey everyone!
I've been waiting to find out for a long time if I'm going to be able to attend this years Steemfest and unfortunately I just found out that I won't. It really saddens me since I've been looking forward to this for a long time and I felt bad last year that I couldn't attend.
There is not much I can do about it though, without getting all too personal about the reasons why, I just wanted to wish everyone attending the best of times and I hope we'll be able to see a lot of footage from it for us staying at home. I am sure it is going to be a blast!
While I won't be able to make it, I wanted to help someone else attend it instead. :)
Although I realize I'm a bit late with these news and the Fest is only 11 days away, I'm sure there will be someone interested!
I'll be buying a Minnow Ticket for a user here that wishes to go. Please make sure that you are able to go before you apply to win the ticket here in the comments. The dates are 1st to 5th November in Lisbon, Portugal.

I've been actively running physical events all over Malaysia to promote steemit.
We also got into the local newspaper
Started an Accelerator Program together with @sndbox & @maverickfoo
So i've bought my flight ticket ..
and kinda got my room .. just need to get the SF 2 tickets !!
I'm doing all this is because I want to represent #teammalaysia !

Because I can't afford a steemfest ticket! (I can barely afford a flight probably, which is ridiculously expensive! But if I win, I'll sure buy it, whatever the price!!!-Hotel is booked already -check in: 31/10, check out:04/11- but I can cancel it for free in a week from now if I can't make it...)
Because I wanna meet people and -funny but true- people want to meet me!

Oh this is sad to hear mate! I also can't attend the SteemFest due to personal reason. I would have loved to win the ticket you are offering , as i wanted to represent all the original food content author there!

I realize this maybe be an unexpected approach as I have already bought a ticket (well 2 actually, the other is for my motivation to get up and try to do something positive in my life, my girl) for the event next month.
On the 9th November, 4 days after SF2 ends, we will be re-packing and heading off to Nepal.
In brief, we are going to to volunteer at a School / Children's home using our skills in IT and Montessori Teaching. @osm0sis is the Teacher, and I'm the IT guy (apparently!).
Last year, she spent a few months at this location, spending her time and money educating and boosting the lives of the children and teachers. Her story and selflessness got me hooked, and in September I quit my job and since then we have been making plans to drum up support (via SF2) and head over to Kathmandu.
Honestly, this has not been cheap. I've covered the flights and accommodation (and tickets for SF2), for both journeys, which has set me back approximately $3000 - most of my spare fiat.
In Nepal, I hope to raise a little Steem as and when we see that its needed, via blogging and requesting up-vote support. The full article (my best earner ever) is here:

I understand that whilst this isn't the most obvious of entries into your competition, I feel that we have a really worthwhile cause and use case for Steem and its philosophy as a decentralized means of getting funds to where they are required.
