SteemFest 2018 | Carmen Carangi's Talk | Crypto-Exodus
"Ask and Ye Shall Receive"
What started out just as a flicker in my mind turned into reality when I approached Roland, the Organizer of SteemFest 3 and asked him if I could speak about TSOA.
The man was gracious enough to allow me the opportunity, and after meditating for 15 minutes in a bathroom stall, I went up and gave a talk on the Crypto-Exodus that needs to occur for MOON.
The Exodus is a physical, mental, and spiritual one, that will empower the masses if the can manage to embark on the Journey of Awakening.
Hope you Enjoy!
A world without governments and rulers sounds enticing, but just remember these institutions in in place for both positive and negative reasons. A mental, spiritual and physical shift may result in someone naturally abstaining from centralized powers, but people will end up recreating the same thing in a new society if the underlying issues aren't addressed.
Your example of Facebook censoring your videos sounds bad when it is about videos you think are "empowering". Yet the same people who say that Facebook is evil with their power will run back to them begging them to take down a video of a child being raped and tortured. On a blockchain, that video can be there forever and if their stake it high enough, it will remain in everyone's sight.
Ultimately, people don't really know what they want. People will complain about government and/or police controlling people and taking away people's freedoms, yet these same powers are used to stop all these fucking people in China that keep cutting in front of me in a line, throwing trash everywhere, parking their cars in the middle of the fucking road, etc.. No amount of politeness and civility will have nearly the same effect. So in essence, freedom doesn't always create positive circumstances for everyone.
Anarchy only sounds plausible if you assume that everyone will start thinking like you if they do XYZ to liberate themselves.
That's my rant lol.
Also, Steem is fucking awesome. I agree. It will empower and liberate all the people that feel censored by centralized media for speaking the truth. But remember that it will also empower and liberate those you think are spreading lies and misinformation.
Governments only exists to force people to do things. Period. Freedom is a right of every being. Being told what to do by the threat of violence is Immoral and has to stop
and as far as dis info agents coming to steem, good luck getting upvotes LOL
Who are you to take away their freedom to threaten others and tell others that to do? If you care so much about freedom, then surely people have the freedom to do horrible things as well. Otherwise, you need a governing body to say what is "acceptable freedom" and "unacceptable freedom" and now lo and behold, we're back in the same predicament.
Sometimes people need to be forced to do something in order to maintain order and harmony in a society. It depends a lot on people's upbringing, intelligence and education. You are delusional if you think that removing governments will result in harmony and peace around the world. These are ideas uttered by people that have always been around people with similar mentalities as them. Here in China, there are food scandals all the time from people that create counterfeit products or use really bad quality food to make an extra buck. But the government took away their "freedom" to do that by punishing them and enforcing stricter laws. And now look, there is much less risk of getting sick/dying as a result of these people's selfishness and freedom. How cruel!!
Once you go to a brand new country you will see just how different people are and how they think. You are acting as if everyone will act nicely to each other if you gave them freedom. Give a heroin addict the utmost freedom to shoot up as much heroin as he wants and he'll probably overdose and/or disrupt other people's lives while high. Force him to not shoot up heroin by removing access to it and he may rehabilitate himself.
Freedom has negative consequences. Governments will disappear when they are not needed to solve particular problems that a society has. To say that they are just their for evil (I am not denying that governments do evil things) is delusional.
People spread misinformation all the time on social media and it gets plenty of likes. How will that be any different on here? People will post inaccurate information about vaccines, chemtrails, GMOs, illuminati or whatever and the soccer moms and conspiracy theorists will go crazy over it. I am not saying there isn't anything negative about the aforementioned, but most people can't tell the difference between true information and exaggerated/sensationalist crap that is used to garner views and attention.

WOW someone really got to you with the Mind-Control
Forcing people by violence to do what you want them to do infringes on THEIR FREEDOMS in the first place. That is a Human Rights Violation
A right is any action that does not cause harm to another sentient being. No one has the right to use Violence against anyone. Its not a right.
Government literally comes from the Latin "Gubernare" which means "to control" and "Mende" which means "mind"
Looks like they got you pretty good.
Freedom is a right, and Governments infringe on that right, therefore they are immoral and need to be done away with.
As far as Herione addicts they should be free to do as much Herione as they want (it's there choice)
Once they cause harm to someone else, then they can be held accountable, not for doing heroin but for causing harm. These are two separate acts
I've also been to China and let me tell you, ALL of your problems come from The Communist Chinese Government. You are all very much enslaved there
Almost everything you do affects others. The idea that you can do something that doesn't affect the rest of the world is ignorant. We live in an interdependent universe. Everything you do has consequences. However, everyone is ignorant to what will negatively affect others to some degree. For example, many people spit on the streets in China. It seems relatively harmless to do that and it isn't immediately causing harm to anyone. However, the bacteria in their saliva that's on the floor can be picked up by the wind and spread germs to other people nearby causing them to get sick. If someone smarter than them knew of this and told other people to stop spitting on the ground, the ignorant ones might say "who are you to tell me to stop?! I am not hurting anyone? Bacteria spreading from the wind? I don't believe that bullshit! You're infringing on my freedoms!"
This is so wishy-washy. You cannot clearly define what "causes harm" to others. Hate speech, offending people, physical fights, strength and conditioning training, surgeries and strict parenting all cause harm to people. Who decides which kind is appropriate and which isn't? The fact that we can't get a unanimous agreement in of itself will cause friction between people. And not only that, there are many people in the world that don't think speaking politely and rationally is the best course of action to persuading people. So yeah.
I am a Canadian living in China. I used to think similar to you when I was living in cushy Canada, but it is because of my lengthy experiences abroad that I realized despite how bad others may see a particular governing body, at the same time, it is suitable for their mentality. People have Stockholm Syndrome to a certain degree. Look a cases of domestic abuse where a woman calls the cops because her husband was beating her up. Once the cops arrive, you see that wife often times suddenly starts attacking the cops because she realizes that they are arresting her husband and he is her only support.
Humanity won't need centralized governments the day they stop serving their positive purpose and are instead replaced with someone else. That day is still far far away for most countries in the world. It may seem anarchy is the way to go for a bunch of people living in California or something, but if you stopped assuming that everyone that disagrees with you is just "enslaved" then you might finally come to your senses.
By the way, nobody likes paying taxes. Do you have a better solution though? I know anarchists are usually against paying taxes so what is a better way to pay teachers, police officers, garbage collectors and get funding for public projects?
Amen! @stateofanarchy
Very nice project, I wish you all success. Freedom is really important to support anyhow. We may don't have any governments in the future. No borders, all the world as one, this is how I see the future of this. Thanks for the inspiration. ☺
Thanks for you positive and encouraging words!
