RE: An Inside Look of SteemFest3 in Krakow, Poland!
Great piece of content, Joe! It was also nice to have the chance to talk to you in person.
It's interesting to see that you're receiving more and more critical comments from people who somehow accuse you of seeing Steem as a business. Isn't that exactly what we want? Bring more people on Steem who leverage this blockchain in order to grow their business?
IMO everybody on Steem has the freedom to use this blockchain as they want. As long as one doesn't compromise others or works against what we consider valuable to this community, I don't see anything wrong about it. If we wouldn't want others to make money, then we'd be probably wrong here.
Here is just one little recommendation how you may even win the hearts of those more community-oriented users :-) The next time you do a video of Steemfest it would be nice to include a couple of more steemians/faces/voices cause this is actually what the event is all about :-)
But still high quality and a good teaser for next year's fest - 100% upvote from me.
Steem on!

It's all about Joe ;)
Of course anyone can use it as they want, but we can all vote as well as flag to curate. The idea is to get the rewards to the best content. I'm not saying that Joe's content is bad, but there are plenty about Steemfest that are equally good without claiming to be 'exclusive'.
I think he'd do fine if he took a little time to engage with the community. For now he seems to be emulating a certain other Steemian who I won't mention.
Joe has 50k subscribers on Youtube. If he can bring them here with realistic expectations then we may see real growth. If they come expecting to make hundreds of dollars on every post they will be sorely disappointed and they will soon leave.
Steem is still small, but it has massive potential. I'd hate to see it turn into a swamp of low quality posts just chasing rewards for no effort. Then you will really see the Steem price tank.
I don't have all the answers and many will disagree with me. I'd just hate to see us lose the chance to make something great.
Cheers :)
Hey Steve! :-)
Well IMO we can’t blame anyone using bit bots in order to promote their content / increase their stake as long as we don’t present any other creative ways how to gain attention / generate passive income on Steem.
Money usually flows in the direction of value, and curation is simply not lucrative enough from today’s standpoint.
You and I we are on a different track, since we love to engage. But in the same manner people can’t expect from us to be radically monetary-driven, we can’t expect them to be more community-oriented.
We won’t ever change people, only algos.
As long as there are no different investment opportunities, I’ll be chilling and let them all just be ;-)
Happy weekend to you!!

Hi Surfer!
Was great meeting you and chatting as well! I appreciate your feedback about the including of more people / steemians / faces ect -- I will certainly keep this in mind next time and it would have added value to the video! Hope to see you next year! Steem on!
