Pimax, a China-based Virtual Reality start-up aims to dominate the VR markets by providing the highest resolutions possible.

It's previous model, the Pimax 4k, has been largely successful, not only in China, but also worldwide, as its low price and high pixel density attracts many VR enthusiasts.

Pimax 8k is also going to break the record for widest Field Of View (FOV) of a mind-boggling 200deg, compared to its competitors' 110 deg.

Lastly, it's modular design allows the users to futher extend their virtual experience by adding features such as:

  • Wireless Transmission Module
  • Hand Motion detection
  • Eye Tracking
  • Cooling Fan

    Wow, great gaming console!!

    Pros:

    • New concept of gaming consoles
    • Maximize your 3D gaming Experience by playing the game in 8K Resolution!
    • With its 200 degree of field of view, experience 3D VR with almost you are really inside the game from the view from your left and to your right!
    • The VR is also 60fps compatible because it has almsot 75Hz/90Hz of refresh rate!

    Cons:

    • Its an Expensive VR, but a reasonable Price
    • Bad for your Eyes, VRs also needs to improve and adapt our eyes health and its capability. We should not expose our also our eyes to gadgets like this.
    • Addicting! You already know why this Gadget is addicting

    Pros:

    • futuristic design, very special!
    • 8k is very high, wow!
    • it looks comfortable, have to test it in reallife

    Cons:

    • As always you need a lot of space for VR
    • quite expensive for early bird, i would prefer HTC Vive or Oculus.

    But nice hunt :)

    • really high resolution
    • high refresh rate

    Cons

    • Price. But it must definitely worth every penny
