SheerWind INVELOX is an innovative design which is cost effective, high performance electrical energy generation plant used in wind energy harvesting. It has a potential to replace our traditional wind farms.

Instead of large blades, the system uses a funnel shaped which captures and amplifies the the wind before it is delivered to the ground level turbine. This will cause no harm to humans or wildlife. It also requires lesser maintenance. Indeed, it produces more electricity per dollar as to traditional wind mills.

Smaller blades are required in this system. It is cut down by 75% from the conventional blades. INVELOX has a less dangerous low frequency noise, vibration and flicker due to its Venturi section.

A funnel shaped intake captures all the winds from all direction. The wind is funnel to increase the speed at the intake. Then, it passes through the Venturi section to to boost the wind speed power before reaching the ground level turbine. A ground level turbine generator converts the wind energy to electricity. A diffuser is returns the wind to nature.

The system is designed to have a maximum efficiency even with the wind speed is a bit low. It was claimed by the design team to produce a whopping 600% electricity. However, even if the claim was too absurd, the efficiency of such systems is remarkably higher as compared to the traditional wind farms.

This was made possible by adding the concept of Venturi effect on traditional wind turbines. As stated earlier, the SheerWind INVELOX funneled the wind in all direction and amplifies the wind speed and power. In traditional wind farms, wind flow in one directions towards the low speed turbine generator. By adding a Venturi section and a funnel, lower wind speed can be accessed and utilized in the energy conversion. In general, Venturi Section of the INVELOX has a wider intake and a smaller exhaust. In this way, the wind speed is amplified depending on the amplification factor used in the design. Thus, making INVELOX more efficient as compared to traditional system.
