The communication breakdown between providers is a serious issue plaguing healthcare today, with almost one out of every two patients not receiving the care they need due to poor communication between health systems. The communication breakdown challenge was felt by our Founder and CEO and caused years of suffering to his family and was the impetus for forming ReferralMD.

Our goal has always been to build a solution that both individual practitioners such as PCPs to large enterprise health systems, hospitals, payers and self-insured employers could use to better route patients to the most appropriate provider without the one-way “blackhole” nature of fax based communication.
