We need to reduce our consumption of animals to protect our planet, that's a fact. You need 15.000 liters of water to produce 1kg of meat.
Everybody wants to save the planet but, hey, everybody wants to eat burgers as well!
I'm not a vegan. But I only eat meat once a week. I buy higher quality meat at my local butcher instead of low-quality cheap ones at the supermarket. The rest of weekdays I'm eating vegetables.
All the vegan alternatives to meat you can find in supermarkets are, to be honest, kind of disgusting or are far away from the taste of real meat.
Good news! If you want to reduce your meat consumption but keep eating burgers: the Impossible Burger is for you! It's a burger made only with plants that really taste like meat.

I saw this when it was on project development stage and was so excited cause I'm a vegetarian too. I'm not sure when it will be available in EU.
You live in EU? :O Didn't know that! Yeah I really hope they will be available in Europe ASAP...
We have a daughter who prefers veggie burgers and I have tried a bunch of different ones and have yet to and one I can stomach. The is just no substitute for a real burger. However, these look like they might be the ticket. I am always willing to try something once. I love that there is coconut oil in them. We are huge lovers of coconut oil. Curious about the Wheat Protein. We have been trying to reduce our wheat intake.
Coooool catch. I've been trying to find these for a month. I REALLY want to try them. I have a friend that lives on some dumpy island in the South Pacific that asked me to test them for her. She writes Vegan stuff.
Anyway, they aren't available in Yuma County, AZ. Amazon doesn't transport fresh food from Phoenix. I'm still looking.
Thanks, Folken. I really do appreciate your posts.
Ugghh. I'm a dope. The footprint difference is just stunning. The amount of land and water and other stuff that is pretty important is incredibly in favor of the Vegan Burger.
