Canopy is a platform/app that brings renters and landlords together with a goal of simplifying the rental application process. It utilizes its innovative technology to streamline the renting process and provides instant digital referencing.
Users can create their digital profile in Canopy RentPassport and build rental/credit history which will make it easy for users to use for their rental applications. Users will not have to go through the tideous traditional application process for renting apartments. RentPassport keeps track of rental payments and constantly improves users history and assist with improving rental/credit history.
Besides the convenience that it creates for both renters and landlords, I like the fact it eliminates the need for upfront cash deposits. Often times one of the difficulties of renting a new place is coming up with extra cash for deposits. With Canopy renters can move from one place to another without a struggle of coming up with extra cash for deposits.

nice concept. there are so many middlemen that cost the renter and landlord so much money. tech can only make it efficient. nice hunt.
The first thought that arises when reading this review about Canopy is whether this application is blockchain based? What if, using the same concept as Canopy, this application is built on top of Blockchain and has its own crypto currency, so besides being used as a means between renters and landlords, it is also beneficial for both parties to get crypto at the same time.

I was thinking of such an app where both parties can meet and teach a mutually beneficial rental agreement. This app is super awesome because of the digital profiling system. Now a lender can find paying guests as per his requirments and all he need to do is look into digital profiles.the system seems secure and trustless.
This is quite an amazing one.
With a tool like Canopy, the issue of outrageous or different prices by caretakers will be reduced.
Most caretakers of some houses even run away with the landlord's money
All that will be gone with Canopy.
Nicely hunted this app @geekgirl by you and brought into view a serious issue which mostly faced by renter from their house owners and landlord.I also faced such problems from landlord and experienced very well. Also the agent or middle man also create problems on the sake of their commission. So the tool "Canopy" and its features showed great relief for renter and better communicate between both of them.

Thats an interesting one. This would be very handy for both landlords and tennants, especially after the person has built up a history. Certainly eliminates a lot of trust related issues, thats for sure. Im not sure i understand how it eliminates the need for a deposit though. I would think landlords would still want first and last months rent upfront to stop tenants from skipping their last payment and a deposit to hold the property. Edit: I checked the site and it seems that renters can essentially buy "insurance" in place of the deposit. Canopy doesnt market it as insurance but that's basically what it is. So I guess as long as the landlord trusts Canopy to pay on the renters behalf if the renter drops out, it does eliminate the deposit. Personally if I were a renter I would rather pay the deposit (which goes towards first months rent) rather then paying a fee that I wouldnt get back. I guess its up to the individual whether they want to pay a smaller fee that they dont get back or pay a larger sum that they do. Personal preference i guess.

I know renting is very tedious and tough task but happy to see this Hunt. This canopy is going to make this overall renting process easy and smooth and I am happy that I won't have to go through brokers and their unnecessary charges.
