Square off is a magical chessboard that makes chess fans' dreams come true. It is like wizard's chess from Harry Potter where pieces move by themselves. Creators of this product brought together Telerobotics and AI to build a machine that feels more human.

Square off is a smart chessboard that offers best of best worlds. Players can play online or against an AI. This chessboard makes it possible for players to play against their friends and family or anybody in the online community over the long distance using real wooden chessboard with carved pieces. Players can also play against AI that has 20 complexity levels. This also serves as a great learning tool.

Square off has an app available both in iOS and Android devices. The app provides integration with chess.com, game analyzer, training mode, chat, game live streaming, and game recording.

In March 2018, the company shipped out almost all crowdfunding orders. Currently, the product can be pre-booked. They have two models available. Kingdom Set for $329, and grand kingdom set for $399.

I usually play AI only on Chess computer games and now, it comes to reality!

Pros:

You will not be playing yourself anymore
A good way to make a challenge and improve your chess playing style
You can play with your family and friends across borders
It has around 20 complex levels you can choose from
All are real pieces of wooden cheese where you can play and feel them while you doing your moves
It has an app that gets you connected and are available on App Store and Google Play

Cons :

No cons for this since it is the most amazing chess board that i have seen so far

Pros :

With the chess UI you can play alone since all pieces will move on its own
A perfect gateway to play for chess lovers
It has a selection of AI
You can play with your friends and family online

Cons :

None that i can see

Pros:

It is still like playing with an actual physical opponent since the pieces move on their own
You have the chance to battle with great chess players around the globe through the app/site interface

Cons:

The only con I see is its price but chess fans will surely love this one.

I'm not really much of a chess-player but I guess this one is amazing!
Pros:

You can play with your friends online.
You'll be challenged with the AI capability.
Enhance your thinking in playing chess

Cons:

It might get a little creepy when you're playing alone and the characters are moving by itself.

Looks great. However I still remember times when I sat together with a dear friend of mine over the chess board, thinking, drinking tea and having fun. No computer or AI ever can replace those encounters of friendship.

I agree those encounters are precious. You can still do that with this chess board. It just gives you more options. You can also still play with the same friend even when you are not in the same location. That is the whole point of this product. You are not playing on a computer. AI is when you don't have anybody available in real life or online at that moment, and for practicing.

This game looks simple but we never get bored of it. It is a fine family game as well something for coming down and connecting for grown ups.
Yes it is Esperanto- still alive, even on steemit!
