Comment:
This tool is great for every developer, who works with emails. Without this tool developers use their own testing emails like gmail, hotmail etc. With this tool every email is sent to mailtrap account defined in your app. For example Laravel has native presets in .env config file for mailtrap account. So if you are developing something, which involves sending of an emails, I recommend to use this great product without risk of spamming real customers.

It's great to discover the great hunting you show and this is my opinion about your hunt
Pros:
A very brilliant idea because isolating email staging from production and eliminating the possibility of a test email to get into the real mailbox of a customer makes mailtrap more effective. Other than that:
Cons:
I will give value to your hunt
Fake SMTP server looks great!
Mailtrap offers more than that!
However, it requires payment for more users. I guess this is how their company sustain the business model.
