Raspbian is an open source and portable operating system based entirely on Linux that allows us to have a great interaction and access to our resources and files for reproduction. The most interesting thing about this OS is that it is completely available to be integrated to other OS or to work autonomously as a backup.

This is really interesting. I was trying to use an operating system that will help me get rid of the windows operating system. Ubuntu Mate was one of my choices but I couldn't make it work on my laptop. I will check this out and see if Raspbian is working out for me. Thanks for the hint. Nice hunt.

I think this is only for Raspberry Pi hardware, but seeing the many application packages provided in this OS repo, it seems worth trying and tampering with.
There is an ISO download that can be run from a CD on normal pc hardware or then installed on the hard drive. The iso needs to be downloaded from raspberrypi.org/download site.
