Hunter's comment

In cities like Manhattan or any busy urban area, access to farm products are primarily through supermarkets where these products are already not so fresh because of travel time for delivery from rural farms.

With the wonders of science and technology, having a farm stacked in building basements without soil and sunlight is the solution. This is farming through hydroponic system as base that replaces soil and LED lights that replaces sunlight. Having this farm in concrete jungles bring fresh farm products to city folks. What is more? The farm products are all organically maintained so those are free from chemical hazzards like pesticides.

I have a huge interest in Agriculture and this Hunt put a huge smile on my face.

Israel has showed the wood how Innovation can totally revolutionize farming and this is another Great example.

Hunt On

Israel? I did not know that this was an innovation from Israel? Maybe I missed that on the website...?

Thank you.

Amazing hunt @macoolette We are losing so much space already and companies deforest everything... This looks like it could make a difference. Would also be amazing if people would grow their own food and live a more healthy life, without destroying it and overfarming...

Great layout, info and hunt! Hopefully see more of your hunts @macoolette

Indeed, it would be great if this will be adopted widely to address space and farming issues.

Thank you.

Hi, @macoolette you are a really great hunter! Thank you for sharing your amazing hunt. This is my personal review and no intention to judge your work. ☺☺

  • I really like growing things and the Farm One is really awesome.
  • The Farm One is a vertical farm specially in New York City growing special produce.
  • They have over 500 different kind of growing recipes.

Great hunt! ☺☺

Thank you for the verification and review.

I like growing under LED lights, very efficient compared to the energy sucking High Pressure Sodium (HPS) lights of a decade ago

I am not aware of HPS but yes, I believe this Farm One technique is very efficient.

Great hunt...
This can be a great source of organic food for people living urbanized areas that lack space to grow natural food.

Yes, I believe that is the purpose of Farm One to bring fresh produce to the urban community.

This is really going to help the world of agriculture going forward. We use methods that simply do not net us enough food per acre. Vertical farming is going to change all of that.

Great hunt

If this will be adopted widely then yes, it will totally change the agriculture industry. Thanks to those who have great and innovative ideas like this.

Thank you.

great

I am a big fan of agriculture, and just today, I prepared 10 packets to put the seed of ladies finger on my roof top. I am not sure, if they will be able to help build in India, but I have sent a request. Lets see.

You mean you requested for a farm one to be built in India? Wow! That would be wonderful if this will indeed be adopted widely. I hope you get it.

It's a great technique to get best out of small spaces. This the best ever solution for large cities where people can have their fresh produce which will be very cost effective. Great hunt.

I agree about this being the great technique for urban farming.

Thank you.
