Since we as a humanity haven't explored more then 80% of Oceans this might be a game changer. Now, we are all aware of shits that can happen during long expeditions, and this thing reduces even life threatening risks. Fully autonomous boats with sensors all over it that aims to bring more informations seems an excellent choice to me.
