Gimpshop is a smaller, lighter alternative to Photoshop. There are some powerful features missing and you won't get to experience the latest developments in technology. But it's free and open source. I personally prefer https://www.gimp.org
Great hunt! Hope this one can break the monopoly of Photoshop. THey should come up with some unique feature in addition to photoshop for one-upmanship
