Elasticsearch is an open source, distributed, RESTful search and analytics engine. It is a full-text search engine that can fast search, stored, and analyze massive amounts of data. Here is the repository on GitHub.
It provides a standard HTTP RESTful APIs and JSON document. It also built clients which available in many programming languages such as Java Python PHP and JavaScrip.
If you want to build your own search engine for your business data, I really recommend that Elasticsearch is the best choice.
