5 MOVIES THAT WILL DISTURB YOU FROM LIFE
5. IRREVERSIBLE (2005)
Contrary to what I said in a tweet long ago, this is not the favorite movie of Tibisay Lucena(Dictator of venezuela), but that of many fans of independent cinema and psychological terror. Directed by the Frenchman Gaspar Noé, Irreversible is characterized by having one of the longest rape scenes in history, and has a very particular narrative structure. I could not say Irreversible is "good" or "bad", it's a movie to experience, and you probably will not want to do it twice.
**4. THE SNOWTOWN MURDERS (2011)**
'Snowtown' is mainly drama and not terror, but there is no denying that what is present in this film is totally sick, especially knowing that this happened in real life, exactly the same. I would not recommend it to those who consider "slow" a non-action movie. To those who are accustomed to independent cinema, see it.
**3. THE LOVED ONES (2009)**
The atmosphere of The Loved Ones, from the start, is unbelievably disturbing. It is, as the great philosopher Fuego would say, a crazy pod. I dare say that it is one of the best horror movies with the theme of "prom night". The delicate ones are going to be covering the eyes during great part of the film.
**2. THE WOMAN (2011)**
I had very low expectations when watching this movie, and maybe that's why I was more surprised than I should have. However, I am sure that The Woman will not be forgotten, and although it takes a while to take off, the last part is brutal. The location is in the field and that, in addition to the camera work, adds a realism that makes it even more disturbing.
**1. OLDBOY (2003)**
One of the things I like most about Koreans is that they make excellent thrillers of revenge. Oldboy is one of the best. But there is something that separates it from the rest, and is that in addition to having an impeccable script, good performances and a decent amount of gore, is that end so sick.
I've seen 2/5 movies on your list and yes they are very disturbing. I saw Irreversible and Oldboy a few times. There's a film trilogy that includes Oldboy from the director Park Chan-wook and the other two movies are really good too, Lady Vengeance and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.
