STEEMIT IRON CHEF 2018 ACT 02 : Check out the new rules for this new season kicking off on Friday 1st of June 2018!!!

Greetings world of amazing foodies!

The long wait is nearly over and I am sure so many of you foodies were eagerly waiting for this post concerning your most favorite cooking contest of Steemit...

Yes my friends, after couple of weeks of wait...Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 02 is ready to get started in couple of days...exactly this coming Friday 1st of June 2018!

But before that, it's time for me to share the new rules and concept that i've put together for the healthy running of the contest for this new season! As usual these will be simple rules, updated from the previous seasons as I also took into consideration my new job that I started couple of weeks ago!

Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 02

SIC 2018 Act 02 will start on Friday 1st of June 2018 comprising of 14 rounds with the last round scheduled on Friday 31st of August 2018!

Themes

Being the trademark of SIC, the weekly theme will stay for this season with some surprising rounds from time to time of course!
The themes will vary from products of the week to a specific cuisine of the world, from past memories to surprising assemblages, from classics to contemporary etc...It gonna be fun for sure!!!

SIC 2018 Act 02 League

Making the league ranking in the last two seasons were really taking a lot of my time and now with my new job...I don't think I will be able to do it same like before! That's why for this new season here is how the league will work:

Each valid entry will be awarded with ONE point for the league. So the maximum points one can score for this 2nd act is 14 points as there will be 14 rounds in all...provided the contestant participate in all of the rounds!

At the end of the 14 rounds, the top 20 contestants will be awarded a percentage of the reward pool which is collected in the wallet of @steemit-ironchef!

Just for info, we already have 47.821 SBDs collected thanks to the generous donations of @haphazard-hstead, @gladysstillwagon and @pusteblume! Thank you my friends, you are simply awesome!

If anyone else wants to contribute to this reward pool, you simply have to transfer any amount of SBD to the wallet of @steemit-ironchef! All SBDs will stay there until the end of this 2nd act!

Weekly prizes

As I still haven't got back my openledger account and as I did not receive any sponsorship in terms of tokens, the weekly prizes will consist of SBDs only! In the past I was rewarding the top 7 with a total of 31 SBDs each week...but for this new season things will change...

The weekly prizes will be the total amount of SBDs made on the contest announcement post...so the more the contestants votes and share the post...the more reward will be for them at the end of the day!
I will of course use some bid bots each week to grow the payout and make the prizes grow!

If the post makes 100 SBDs...all of it will go to the top 7...so simple!

The totality of the SBDs made on the weekly post will be shared among the top 7 as follows:

• Winner : 40% of the total SBD
• Runner up : 20% of the total SBD
• 3rd place : 15% of the total SBD
• 4th place : 10% of the total SBD
• 5th place : 5% of the total SBD
• 6th place : 5%% of the total SBD
• 7th place : 5% of the total SBD

Judge

I think everyone already knows...I will again be the one and only judge of the contest! The reason why I am not keen in having more judges is the complication that can arise...chasing the judges each week for results will be difficult for me!

With me being the only judge, I will plan the contest based on my schedule, even if I get late in announcing the results, I will do it the best way possible as I have always been doing since the start of SIC last year!

Rules and Regulations

The rules and regulations have been updated and here is what is needed to have a valid entry in the contest as from Friday the 1st of June 2018!

• Create a post and title your entry 'Steemit Iron Chef 2018 Act 02 #01 : Name of your dish'
• Make either a starter or main course or dessert based on the theme of the round.
• Only ONE entry per person allowed!
• To validate your entry, you must upvote the contest post at 100% voting power to help grow the weekly prizes!
• Make sure to use #steemit-ironchef tag in any order you wish, so that I don't miss your entry!
• Only new recipes will be accepted, so I need at least one photo with your name and date on it.
• I don't need to see your step by step preparations/recipes, just make the list of the products used, describe your dish and add some photos to get my attention! Make it sweet and simple!!!
• Post a link of your entry on the contest announcement post and also share your entry on our discord channel - https://discord.gg/R3R26k8 to get some more support from the people there!
• Any participant not following these simple rules will be considered a non validate entry.

Be the most creative , inventive and refined possible, you'll score a lot of points...
