Vitor Belfort vs. Chuck Liddell!?

During a UFC 212 impromptu press conference, the UFC star, Vitor Belfort, brought a more serious tone to his previous idea of a “Legends League”, where aging MMA legends continue to brawl it out against one another for our pure entertainment. Not only did Belfort once again mention his vision of this league, but also the idea of fighting Chuck Liddell! It would be a rematch to remember. Liddell was victorious by unanimous decision in their first encounter, but that was all the way back at UFC 37.5.

Vitor added “Liddell is very interesting, not just for me but for the fans. I think about the legend league, I think the UFC should do it, and I think that would be a good start. Chuck is a legend, we fought in the past. I think I won that fight, but they gave it to him. Back in the days, he was managed by the owners of the UFC and Dana. Today is totally different.”

Who knows what could happen this time around. Liddell has been vocal about his likely return to MMA, through twitter and other media outlets. Let's hope Liddell is as eager to make this happen as Belfort. It's been awhile since I've seen a fight where I was so excited I literally felt jittery while watching it (hopefully a few of you know what I mean.. lol).
