7 Power Tips to Get Many Followers on Steemit

Dear Steemian,

I've recently posted a reply to someone asking how to get many followers on Steemit, and so I've decided to make a post about it and share with you my top tips for success.

There are many ways to get new followers but before talking about the specifics, remember that the best general mindset to have in order to attract new followers is to just be you. You are a unique individual who's certainly got so much to give to the world and also deserves to receive so much in return!
Follow these guidelines and you'll be well on your way to fantastic success:

1. Write real articles, don't do copy and paste jobs cause nobody likes to read that trash.
2. Read other people's content. Find content you like and enjoy reading. If you don't have a lot of spare time just set 60 or 30 minutes a day to read. It will not only teach you new interesting things, but will also give you new ideas for your own future posts!
3. Comment on other people's posts. Engage with the community, be a real person, not a bot. Write real comments, not lazy stuff like "good article, follow me" lol. Really use the platform to speak your mind and to engage with the audience.
4. Put an effort into your posts. For instance, if you check out my latest post about beets you can see that I've actually researched many scientific studies and watched nutrition videos from a real doctor before writing the post and I also made a video that took me hours to complete. No one says you have to do that much, but at least show people that you are a real person who's worth something and is not just a cheap miserable gold-digger...
5. Don't abuse the system. For example, The "introduceyourself" tag is for newcomers. If you keep posting with that tag you will keep getting flagged and will never get a big following no matter what you do.
6. Remember that while many fellow Steemians are looking to not only write content but to also make money, you shouldn't think about money at all at first, but rather concentrate on the content you provide. You will be a lot more successful when you post quality posts about things you truly care about!
7. Be persistent and post consistently. Set long term goals and go for it! Don't do things for the now, but be patient. If you work well and your posts have true value - you will attract new quality followers and succeed.
