I wrote this article for a few reasons:
obviously, reason #1 is to make fun of a not-so-bright little soul :)
to help people understand what the steem blockchain really is. It is nothing like your usual website, and hundreds of projects can be built upon it, including steemdb, which allows you to see all the edits that happened on a post, and much more!
to help people check other people's edits, in case what happened to me happens to them
to warn the dishonest people in here: that shit don't fly, bitch
I followed this whole thing from another post interested in seeing if id find something more about the stuff he wrote.
And i did, which is great, but gosh darnit this got intense 😊
Man I suggested to him to do this challenge. Check my recent posts where I am doing the exact same thing which I saw it at someone orca level doing it too.
Why don't you give a slack to the newbies? Inform them is a good start. We don't flag everyone for something he didn't knew. I guess you where a pro since you joined.
I don't even know about that rule? is there a steemit rule book. Is this at steem ettiquete? So many questions. Anyway I know the dude in person you are hunting witches. You should give people a chance.
Wether you consider those kinds of posts spam or not is subjective (well, not completely since on steemit they are considered spam). Feeling offended by flags on steem is incredibly puerile; guidelines are enforced by the community.
You are defending someone who lied and tried to make me think he never asked for upvotes in the first place. Do you consider this an honest attitude? He could've told me he removed the mention of upvotes, and we would've been done here - flags are removable after all. But no; he decided to manipulate and deceive me into thinking my memories about what I read were wrong. Wether you're new or old on here, that is an extremely shitty thing to do (and it would've worked on any other social media that doesn't show edits publicly). Being new or old has nothing to do with this, this is about what kind of person you are.
You seem to completely ignore the fact that he lied and deceived, and got caught red-handed; to me that is much, much more serious than posting a contest with questionable entry conditions.
Note that he never mentioned editing his post. He literally just asked me to re-read the post, directly implying that I had read it wrong the first time.

I never said he was a bad person or anything; I just commented on his actions, not his personality. The fact that that @tkappa lied and deceived is written on the blockchain forever, no amount of SP will allow you to erase that!
He is new to steemit and did not know his way around yet. He corrected a possible mistake.
