RE: [Content Cop] Steemit Abusers and Plagiarism

I agree more communication from Steemit HQ would be nice, as well as some sort of ticket/suggestion system where people's ideas could be collected and voted on. They could use a 3rd part open source ticket system even.

As for plagiarism I agree with you it's bad. I try to think it's unintentional, but sometimes it is. What motivates people to do that knowingly? I've been thinking about it a bit and there's a part of me that remembers - in other parts of the world a person can feed their family for a few dollars a day. If you lived in one of those places wouldn't you do anything to feed your family? It's a kind of desperation and it's sad. That doesn't mean I excuse it or think it's ok - just means I wonder at what's behind that kind of scrapping. I think that is only going to get worse to be honest as people's conditions are not improving.

I like the ticket system idea, or even just some kind of poll? There's no end to the things they could do, but in my few months here, I've noticed only a few minor cosmetic changes with zero communication from Steemit. The amount of fuss people made over Electroneum's handling of PR and yet Steemit get a free pass... doesn't seem right to me.

Yeah I went into this thinking they were all intentional blah blah, but the reality is much different. It's just the odd individual who thinks they can take advantage.

That's a really good point mate, there is a growing number of people who seem to be trying to make an honest living with what little they can get from Steemit, and that is just amazing to see. Imagine the difference something like Steemit could make in less privileged countries. With this one person however, I can safely assume that isn't the case, just down to the shear amount of effort and time they've put into this "attack". Sadly, there are just greedy people in this world. Just imagine if they redirected that energy into creating something...
