I promoted my first video on Facebook (it was about steemit) contain the picture below, I hope Mark will never find out + How we did so far introducing Steemit in Facebook

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Recently we were doing some materials like Videos, Blogs about steemit to help Arab speaker newbies. It is so hard to bring non English speaker to steemit but it worth trying for long term result.

Any way i published my first video ever, it was about steemit and how it can help people offering better, decentralized and fair platform with so many potential for community creativity.

Any way the video doing good so far in Facebook, reached 4,417 and 939 like it

I promoted it with some money and i think making as much people as we can to at least hear about steemit will have great result later on, specially when steemit platform integrate more languages.

We did bad so far on Twitter, we are focusing more on Facebook as a beginning.

here is the video

Ironically the video is promoted on Facebook and doing well while it contain this picture
I stress on how Steemit could take over Facebook & Twitter one day

I hope Mark will never find out
Disclaimer: i didn't edit this pic and am not sure who did but it is super NICE, truth should be told.

😊

When i was doing this introduction video, i was thinking that I should say what steemit could do in a simple and clear way, then this came to me in same order and i mentioned it in the video :

Note that there is so many potential on steemit but in my opinion this is the best and most important so far.

1 - Steemit can bring you extra income

For many people extra income as little as 5$ can improve their life. This might be not so obvious today but when steemit scale to developing countries it can really make change. Making some people life better.

By the way one of steemian who influence me a lot by the way he is thinking about Steemit is @fulltimegeek, watch this video to know why :)

2 - Steemit is very good place for charity

Here i brought one of my favorite blog in steemit ever. it was by @firepower in the beginning of this year about starting 2017 by bang bringing joy to HIV positive kids.
It got everyone attention at that time, it was beautiful initiative. Well am not sure if he used steemit rewards to do this but i know that many people can do such a beautiful thing to other by organizing charity initiative and many people are willing to participate by upvoting and donating, the point is Steemit can make this easier than any other method.
Charity is as easy as click of a button on steemit.

3 - Good platform to show talent

Writers, Youtubers, Artest, cookers, Photographer, Graphic designer and more all here on steemit and get attention and rewarded for their work. I think they know it is difficult to find a platform to offer their work in such a way and community loving it.

4 - Goods and services exchange platform

I see great potential for steemit in helping people exchange goods and service, i mean day will come when someone sell a new product or even a used one like hi\her phone through steemit, why not there is relatively stable currency with instant, free and transparent transaction.

Impressive numbers! If just 10% of those who liked that post sign up that'll be another 94 users.

Facebook's relevance is slowly but surely on the way down. It's been a while since i logged in for personal use.

You are totally true @numpypython but it is really hard for someone who cant read or write in english to join steemit effectively. I know about more than 10 have an account but they couldn't fit in.
I hope by supporting them step by step we can make them write in their language and find other who speak Arabic and get rewarded :)

Completely agree, @araki. The local community would need to be bigger and reach a critical mass ,otherwise they'd lose interest fast. Perhaps photography / art posts might cater to a wider audience as well. :)

Agree, it is interesting time for steemit, i hope what we are doing help in someway
