A 17-year-old boy is dead and a 19-year-old girl is in critical condition after an accident at an amusement park in Cap d'Agde. Both were ejected.
Sunday August 6, the attraction is under seal, closed to the public. It was on a giant swing that the festive evening turned tragic. In the evening, two teenagers were violently expelled from the attraction. The shock is very violent: a 17-year-old boy dies, and a young 19-year-old woman, polytraumatized, is transported in absolute emergency. “I have been coming to this amusement park for 18 years, and I believe this is the first time that there has been such a serious accident,” notes a regular customer.

Not the first accident
This is not the first time that an accident has happened on this attraction. In 2019, a man suffered a head injury. And the investigations will now begin. “They are going to set up a security perimeter, so that the police can proceed to the findings”, details Éric Henry, national delegate Alliance National Police. An investigation has been opened.
