RE: Introducing PunkBuster, a bid-based DownVoting-Bot - proudly presented by SteemHQ.com

in #steemit7 years ago

The bot is designed for Steemians who either don't have much Steem Power bound to their account or don't want to use their account for downvoting for whatever reasons.

I hate to rain on your parade, but the only people I imagine using this bot are those using the upvote bots. People hesitate to flag the BS on the trending page because they fear to get flagged back and this bot doesn't solve that because the memos are public.

Perhaps, your intention is to mess up with those spending big $$$ on the upvote bots. Let them buy $500 in upvotes and $200 in downvotes for their competition on the trending page? :-)

On a serious note, I believe you've just created another weapon in the flag wars that rage across steemit.

Thanks for your honest opinion on this topic, I really respect that!
I agree, that the bot is somekind of controvers but I'am really interested in how the free market will adept.

You'll know soon enough.

All you really need for it to take off is to find someone vengeful and have his content flagged by his enemy and you're in the game. They'll spend all their STEEM & SBD flagging each other. Not as you've originally imagined, but still :-)

They could have had put a little more thought into the account name and named it "botbuster!" Say NO to BOTS!
