Promoting steemit: Coinmarketcap and blockchain.info ad-campaign results

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

The campaigns I have been running on Coinmarketcap and Blockchain.info have ended. I'm sharing the results in this post.

Blockchain.info -- $460

  • 80.000 impressions
  • 0,58% Click-Through-Rate
  • 464 Clicks
  • $6 per 10.000 impressions

The advertisement looked like this:

They provided me with a graph of the statistics

This campaign cost me $0,99 per click. In addition to brand awareness, it got 464 people to see the steemit homepage. This will hopefully have resulted in alot of new users. I'm happy with the outcome of this campaign. But because the coinmarketcap campaign got better rates, I will not extend this one.

Coinmarketcap.com -- $200

  • 50.000 impressions
  • 0,5% Click-Through-Rate
  • 252 Clicks
  • $4 per 10.000 impressions

The advertisement looked like this:

Unfortunatly they only provided me with data, but no graph.

This campaign cost me $0,79 per click. I think clicks to the site are important for gaining new users. This campaign was more cost-effective on both impressions and clicks. So I am looking to extend this campaign. If you have advertised on other crypto-related sites before and you got better statistics, i'dd love to hear it. So I can look into advertising there too.

Nice good work @bergy! I saw this when I went to coinmarketcap.com a few days ago but I didn't click on it because I already have an account. You should consider putting an advertisment on Facebook that says stop feeding Mark Zuckerberg and be control of your own work and earn on your content that you are creating for Facebook!!!!!

If you check my earlier posts, I did start an advertisement campaign on facebook. It went through the usual checks, but then they cancelled it after 3 days :/

How about creating some cool banners that people can share with their friends to make them go viral? There's no need to feed Mark Zuckerberg with our hardly earned Steem Dollars.

Yeah for sure, that would be a good idea. Maybe I should start designing some cool designs for pople to post onto Facebook free advertising that way.

Let us know how it worked out.

$0.79 cost per click is very expensive, in my opinion.

With your budget one may expect a click cost about $0.05 in cryptocurrency oriented banner networks. In my experience, the quality of traffic will not be worse than coinmarketcap traffic.

Please contact me should you interested.

which sites do you suggest?

a-ads.com, eadsy.net, adbtc.info for example.

I will look into it.

Cheap is also the cost of advertising, you want to advertise on my site price of $ 100 for 1 month

how many impressions would that be monthly?

monthly impressions 180000

whats the website?

Compelling offer, I will think about it.

my website www.paketkita.net

Are there other prominent non-crypto sites with reasonable advertising costs? How much does it cost to put an add on reddit for instance? Or one of the major internet news sites?

Yeah I was thinking about advertising on reddit too, I'll find out how much it costs.

Great work man! :)

lol I accidentally resteemed this. :D
