Bitcoin Zimbabwe interview at Blockchain Summer School, the African take on Steemit, will Monero & Ethereum battle for #2?

O'brien Makore is another impressive young person from Zimbabwe who loves Bitcoin and sees its great future. His Bitcoin address is: 18VHuhaj4ciD2r6rSQR41RWE69tp1ZDpyF

I can put you in touch with him if you want to employ him in some way. He briefly mentions the "informal economy" in Zimbabwe. Lots of people are selling random stuff on the streets and are not paying taxes on the income (fine with me!). In theory selling Bitcoin on the street is equivalent to this and the government of Zimbabwe will not care (at this point). Steemit is thought of much differently in Africa. It has potential and it is not a scam. Marketing has not been great, but the fans of Steemit in Africa and beyond can take the site over. I still see potential in it, especially after being in Africa. Ethereum is in the news again. Will Monero end up #2? Will anyone care about what coin is #2 in the future?

Ethereum accidentally splits- https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/ethereums-blockchain-accidentally-splits/

The people of Zimbabwe want a better future and they are willing to work hard for it. They understand money and once they find out about Bitcoin they get very excited.

Slowly you'll get it. But watch out. You gonna miss the steemit train. ,,Don't buy steem, don't buy steem power''-- soon you gonna change your song, he,he.

I have already EARNED Steem and Steem power. I will continue to EARN both. No need to buy.

Good for you.

Greetings from a Baltimore escapee - I sent you some DASH bits to get your attention. I totally agree with your position on Steemit. The liquid STEEM was NEVER intended to be a speculative coin that would go up in value or represent a store of value. The opposite is in fact the case, but many traders missed the point and got burned. That’s not a reason to hate, and doesn't make it a scam. Tone is smart, but wrong about Steemit. STEEM POWER is the currency that stores value on the chain. STEEM is just inflationary crap used to facilitate liquidity in the system (similar to Federal Reserve Notes, i.e. US$). Also correct that Ned & Dan would like nothing more than others to take up the challenge and extend the platform using the tools that they have released into the wild. Regarding DASH: Why does DASH not get more respect when it comes to the privacy features? Lots of buzz about Monero and ZCash, and their technology works great, but DASH does the same thing. Difference may be DASH emphasizes privacy as the DEFAULT setting for ALL, not a weird feature to help navigate dark markets. If privacy is the default, people avoiding invasion of privacy or taking suspicious extra steps don't make themselves targets for investigation. The key to fungibility is mixing coins among as many ordinary users as possible - not mixing coins among as many drug dealers as possible. DASH may come out on top in the long run as other privacy-centric coins get smeared through negative associations. DASH also has instant confirmations, and they are working on an awesome new interface for 2017 called Evolution. If you’re looking for an up-and-coming #2, DASH may be the dark horse.

Thanks so much for the Dash and the great comment! Too much hype for Zcash. As for Dash, there is a lot of FUD around it that deals with a possible pre-mine and rumors that it is not as anonymous as people make it out to be. Speaking of Tone Vays, he actually became quite suspicious of it after being a fan of sorts. Oh well. Dash probably has the best marketing plan of any crypto out there though. The Amanda Johnson investment was a very good one.
Take note that I replied to your comment here instead of on Youtube. Just trying to do my little part to help the people take over Steemit. I believe earlier today I got some people from Zimbabwe interested. I will have to wait and see about that. 1983 WORLD CHAMPS!

Hi Bitcoinmeister, I'm really enjoying your videos and what you are doing in africa, u a great person for doing that, im an expat from south africa and now in UK, i've only been in this cryptocurecny world for about 2months and i've just started vlogging and find this really fun. im seeing the light on cryptocurrecies. oh yes Monero is really doing well now, when i started with monero is was down by about $5 odd and now it over $7 which is good and ofcourse its a South African behind it. Steemit is good, i'm enjoying it now but i feel I'm to early to judge it yet, i do see what you saying about steemit in Africa. you can see my intro video @muks

Happy Birthday. Thanks for the kind words. Be careful with altcoins like Monero. They are speculations. I explain that in this old video where I also made a prediction that quite a few people enjoyed about Monero:

BUY AND HOLD BITCOIN!
