RE: Be careful where you click! | Steem Phishing | Stolen SBD from users |
That account posted on my dmania post today, it seemed spammy and i commented as such after checking out the profile. I didn't click any links and will flag the post.
Luckily! Im always told to keep an eye out for fake links but you dont really think twice till it happeneds
I called them out on my post, they are playing the victim and saying they were hacked. I asked about all the stolen sbd/steem. crickets so far.
Contact @dan and @ned, and all exchanges that trade steem/sbd. Let them know what is going on.
How would one do so? I have sent an email to support
Try sending them a small 0.001 Steem transfer through Steemit and write your message in the memo field, or try commenting on one of their recent posts and mention their username starting with the "@".
Contact @blocktrades ASAP regarding this. You can comment on one of their recent posts and explain what is going on.
Okay memo'd both blocktrades and Ned. Hoping I can get my 20sbd back but not holding my breath. Good learning experience Aha
Thanks ebargains <3
Hope you do get the funds back somehow. There are some proposals for anti phishing plugins for Steem, but none are usable for now.
Best to be vigilant (check the spelling of the URL and the HTTPS tag) and don't click on links that you do not recognize.
Oh yeah, also let @good-karma know that there is an imposter using an account name similar to his to scam people.
