Naughty Tagger's List 04/01/11 - 04/07/2018 -- Introduceyourself Tag Spammers Identified.
The list below identifies the authors who have "Introduced" themselves or products at least 10 times since the start of 2018 AND have posted again in this tag last week. Only 16 authors remain on the list.
The information was obtained programmatically via SteemSQL;
It is possible that some of these authors have legitimate reasons for using the introduceyourself tag repeatedly, it is up to the community to decide that. Note: @markup was removed from this list.
This article (post) is also being tagged with the introduceyourself category. I believe it does belong under this tag, but let me know if you prefer not to have it posted there. I will certainly listen to the community on this subject.
The list below includes articles only (no comments) and only includes authors who have new posts last week in the introduceyourself tag.
Tag spam can really make it hard to find articles you are truly interested in when authors intentionally post their content using tags that really do not apply to their article's content.
If you find this tag spam to be unacceptable behavior, then let the author know. A quick comment with your honest view point may be sufficient to make a real change. Letting them know they are on "The Naughty Taggers List" may be plenty useful.
I will be updating this list on a weekly basis.
It is possible the authors below have already made changes to their tags and habits and their newer posts may be more properly categorized, but the count is accurate one way or the other as to the number of articles in the "Introduceyourself" category as of the time the list was generated.
To help fight tag spam in the Introduceyourself tag, I have launched a tool called @IntroBot.
@introbot is an automated bot hosted and managed by @bycoleman to welcome new users, provide helpful links and information and most importantly to help insure they become a success and asset to the platform.
@introbot works in conjunction with other tools to help fight tag spamming and abuses, particularly associated with the introduceyourself tag. Click here to view the latest comments made by introbot.
The success of introbot continues to be dramatic.
This week there are only 16 total authors left on the list and the criteria for being on this list has dropped from 20 introductions down to 10! This is compared to several hundred total tag abusers before introbot went to work!
If you would like to support Introbot, simply upvote any of the warnings or comments it has made or create your own reply directly to author and let them know how you feel.
Feedback is requested, good or bad. I'm working towards a great platform, but your concept of great might be different than mine, so I am very interested in your concept. Also, let me know if you would like to see more of these types of list.
I looked at the flags for the first two and they were introducing their family. I guess they could have used the introduce tag instead but they speak Spanish and may not know that.
Being ignorant is no excuse. If they don't inform themselves it's their fault, isn't it?
maybe some bilinguals could help translate and spell it out to them.
Okay, that's an idea too 👍
Yeah or just continue to help kick them off steemit. I guess this bot may as well help get rid of some newbies and save them from wasting their time. Personally though I would feel bad flagging a post with zero earnings that is an account with 0 earnings for this week and had 0 earnings the week before.
Since I am on Steemit, this is the first post that gives me idea that individual authors really care about value and community and not only using that as hypocrisy to put their rating up. Thank you.
Namaste.
Thank you and welcome to Steemit.
I look forward to seeing more from those like yourself that are truly interested in the quality of what is posted here and our long term success!
For sure! I noticed a lot of hypocrisy and I find it funny in some way but yet dangerous for long run.
Honestly, I wish too to earn money, but only idea of Steemit is so precious that it should be kept unspoiled. We humans tend to spoil all for our own interests.
Your right about this @mandalaflower
@bycoleman is really trying to make steemit better for us to use...
Bad tagging just makes it difficult to find what one is looking for...
Well, we can lend a helping hand by informing new users about tag spamming so they will be aware of it before starting their journey here....
@bycoleman can't do it alone...
Thank you brother, be blessed!
A lot of good information, which requires every steemit member, thank you so much for giving us extraordinary information, hopefully help us in this way.

You come and spam my post and you yourself have used the introduceyourself post in your tags--------
hypocrite
Hello @bycoleman!
I noticed you have posted many times since you began your journey on Steemit. That is great! We love active partipants.
I do want to point out that the Introduceyourself tag is meant to be used once only to introduce yourself to the Steemit community. You have now posted 123 times using the introduceyourself tag. Please see this link for more information Tag Spam?
Please take this into consideration and help build a great platform!
Now I think you need to talk to the developers on steemit and tell them that the tag #introduceyourself should not be used to auto fill the tag line when there is space available. Then perhaps we can use only the tags we want in our tag line. in fact the tag line should not be filled at all from the post content. Now go and remove your remark from my post and I will remove my remark from your post.I believe you are currently counting replies not posts.
If you fix your query to:
parent_author = ''
You will see a dramatically different answer.
Your query is currently reporting on the comments I made to others who posted there.
I wish you much peace this day.
Thank you for doing this! I was introduced by @introbot as well :) Hopefully, the good work continues in the future.
Thank you and have a joyful day!
Sup. Do you work with a team? Do you have a plan how to fix the vote-buying problem? I would love if there would be no bots, to be frank. Good content and communication with people are always highly rewarded anyway.
But no matter how hard I think - I don't see a solution.
Even though I know you also want to get some profit from all of it in return.
I support what you do even if I'm not sure what's your end goal is.
I made your transparency bot on my comment section visible. If it can help.
Thanks for the reply.
I am just a programmer, but I work for the Steem community, together we are a team.
I am not making any money from transparencybot and never will, there are better things in life to work for than money.
Thank you for your support, I wish you much peace this day.
Blessings!
Real content creators create!
Trolls are busy trolling, get a life, cause ur no better then these people ur trying to finger.
