My view on gun control. (just something I wanted to put out there).

This is just my view on Gun Control. I understand that other people may not agree with my views but this is not to offend anyone.

Barack Hussein Obama wants to start gun control. There are some good reasons why maybe this could be a good idea. But, there are a lot of bad reasons why gun control should not be started. The second amendment talks about the right for an individual to bear and carry firearms. When Obama became president, he swore to protect the constitution, and in protecting the constitution, that includes protecting the amendments in the constitution. That on its own is going against Obama’s job.

Not doing what he swore to do is not the only thing wrong, he has already sworn to protect the constitution, but it is also going against his word. A good, trustworthy, honest man sticks to his word, and without his word, a man is nothing. But, there are more reasons than just these to be against gun control. For one, this is America. America is supposed to be a free country, and we should be able to bare and carry a firearm if we want to. There are those people that should not have guns though, but that is just another reason for us to have the choice to carry a gun.

Guns are a good source of protection.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if somebody else with a gun decides that they want to break in to my house and hold a gun to my head, I am going to shoot them, period. Later, when I have a family, I will not let somebody break in to my house, harm my family, and take what I have. I will have a family to feed, put a roof over, clothe, and protect, and I think it is wrong to take away a man’s ability to take care if his family.

What is going to happen if our government turns against us?

That is another reason not to start gun control. If our government goes against us, then we will need a way to protect ourselves. I am not saying that guns are the only way to protect ourselves, but it is a pretty good source of protection and it almost is the only way to protect ourselves if the government were to go against its own country. Here are some examples:

First, in 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves against their ethnic-cleansing government, were arrested and exterminated. Second, in 1929, the former Soviet Union established gun control as a means of controlling the “more difficult” of their citizens. From 1929 to the death of Stalin, 40 million Soviets met an untimely end at the hand of various governmental agencies as they were arrested and exterminated. Third, after the rise of the Nazi’s, Germany established their version of gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves against the “Brown Shirts”, were arrested and exterminated. Interestingly, the Brown Shirts were eventually targeted for extermination themselves following their blind acts of allegiance to Hitler. Any American military and police would be wise to grasp the historical significance of the Brown Shirts’ fate.

Forth, after Communist China established gun control in 1935, an estimated 50 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves against their fascist leaders, were arrested and exterminated. Fifth, closer to home, Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayans, unable to defend themselves against their ruthless dictatorship, were arrested and exterminated. Sixth, Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves from their dictatorial government, were arrested and exterminated. Seventh, Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million of the “educated” people, unable to defend themselves against their fascist government, were arrested and exterminated. Eighth, in 1994, Rwanda disarmed the Tutsi people and being unable to defend themselves from their totalitarian government, nearly one million were summarily executed.

All of these examples were the result of gun control in different countries. Maybe our country is not the same as other countries, but what is stopping our government from doing the same thing? Nothing. By taking away our guns, Obama is taking away our protection, and even education about guns. By growing up using guns and learning about guns, people can become more educated about them and what they have power of doing, and even the safety of owning a gun and how to use one safely without harming others. There is nothing wrong with owning a gun and teaching your kids about them, as long as you teach them correctly and properly.

Guns are also used for other things like father son bonding experiences.

Guns have other uses. A father should be able to take a gun that he owns, take his son, and go camping and hunting and teaching his son and bonding with him. There is nothing wrong with that. Guns can also be good protection from dangerous animals, depending on where you live. There are multiple reasons to let people own guns, and there is nothing wrong with it.

There are some places where a lot of people own guns, and the crime rate is really low. Veteriantoday.com gives this example:
For an example of homicide rates before and after a ban, take the case of the handgun ban in England and Wales in January 1997 (source here see Table 1.01 and the column marked “Offences currently recorded as homicide per million population”). After the ban, clearly homicide rates bounce around over time, but there is only one year (2010) where the homicide rate is lower than it was in 1996. The immediate effect was about a 50 percent increase in homicide rates. The homicide rate only began falling when there was a large increase in the number of police officers during 2003 and 2004. Despite the huge increase in the number of police, the murder rate still remained slightly higher than the immediate pre-ban rate.

Owning guns could honestly help a lot, in many ways like I have explained. Guns can be safe, it just depends on who owns the guns and who uses them. In my opinion, I think Obama is up to something that could harm our whole country, or he really does not see it the way most of us do. Gun control will mean Americans have to give up their guns, and if that happens, then bad stuff could start happening and crime rates will go up and a lot of people will get hurt. Not only can citizens get hurt, but our country could go corrupt and we will have no way to protect ourselves.
