Reward more steem for comments!!!
Its getting ridiculous.. too much spammy content. . .
you get alot of pointless, uninformative and maybe low quality content like "steem can kill you" and yet you still get user engagement...
WHY?
Simply because there is no incentive (or at least a low incentive) for creating quality comments, shouldn't we gain more rewards for quality discussion? wouldn't that hit two birds with one stone? Having people Read better in order to respond better? and keep a discussion alive? and decrease the incentive on creating useless posts when you can just engage in a discussion and earn more by doing so?
Rewarding Discussion is the key
The problem isn't that comments aren't paid, it's that no one upvotes comments... as I pointed out here: https://steemit.com/steemit/@telos/comments-need-love-too
Yes thats true, no one upvotes comments or engage effectively in the comments section, i believe the discussion should have more rewards that the actual post, even curation rewards too, so upvoting and contributing to comments should be made to earn you more .
Im taking a Cleveland Steemer while I post this!

But I do agree, funny and helpful comments should get paid more to encourage constructive conversation.
This is a valid point and I am sure in time will be sorted out. Happy to upvote. Now following and looking forward to reading more of your posts. Catch us also on Twitter✔ happy to follow back. Cheers. Stephen
