I remember watching a video on DTube about this lately and I understand that facebook at first tried to deny their involvement and pin the blame on the user, next things I see is Zukerberg announcing that he was changing the rules and making it stricter for developers.
Personally me I never entertain something which tells me that it will access my personal profile and friends list, its almost like it is saying to me hey we want your data.
