RE: Giving away my Steem Power through upvotes - looking for the best, most underrated authors. Best 5 win.

in #steemit7 years ago

Greetings!

Great idea, and hopefully once I have more influence myself, I can do something similar for incoming newbies. Always a nice thing to level the playing field when and where we can.

Anyway, this is what I feel is my most underrated post, which I was surprised got no notice, though it is among my most heartfelt.

I've been writing and blogging for a number of years, though I took a hiatus from blogging for a while, but now I'm back and active.

As for Steemit, I'm a big believer in blockchain technology, and its potential to transfer power from central banks and corrupt governments back to the people, where it rightfully belongs.

I am also a long time privacy and security advocate, so I LOVE that Steemit is taking on the social media platforms, and clearly from recent actions, they are already feeling the heat. I've distrusted Facebook and Twitter for a long time, and even though I need to market our startup, I've been reticent to do so on those platforms because of the ongoing associated privacy risks.

I am also working diligently to more than replace my husband's current income, as his job as a truck driver keeps him away from home for sometimes weeks at a time, and we both want him to finally live and work at home.

My writing includes a little of everything, from poetry to film and book reviews to photography and social commentary, but my primary focus is on helping people to grow and prepare their own organic foods easily, and in a small space if needed, along with making small, inexpensive changes that can drastically uplevel their health and well-being.

Nice to make your acquaintance and hope to see more of you here on Steemit!

Got you down as one of the winnners! Followed as well - hope to see some more genuine post from you!

Thanks very much, @thorthur22!
We all can use all the help we can get, and I appreciate it more than you know. I'll do my best to return the favor. I've followed you as well, but I'm guessing you already know that. ;-)
