TRON (TRX) Closer to the Decentralized Internet
Justin Sun: BitTorrent Becomes an SR Candidate, TRON (TRX) Closer to the Decentralized Internet
TRON’s own Justin Sun somehow always seems to be in the middle of a project related to making TRON project and TRX even better, while constantly seeking improvements. Even though TRX is struggling in the market for the past couple of months, dropping from top ten to being traded as the 11th best crypto, TRX is still one of the top trending digital assets alongside with Ripple XRP, in accordance with Google analytics.
One the of the most recent significant news announced by Justin Sun was his newly completed purchase of a well-known massive platform for sharing different files, BitTorrent. However, Justin Sun, as well as the BitTorrent representatives, has stated on his occasion that BitTorrent won’t be changing the terms and policy of their services.
So, what is the role of BitTorrent in TRON’s undertaking of the largest project ever initiated by this foundation, starting a new era of the decentralized internet?
BitTorrent in the Race for TRON Super Representative
Several days ago Justin Sun went forward with announcing that he had officially become one of the 60 candidates that will take the spots of 27 Super Representatives on the new TRON mainnet.
Super Representatives will hold the role similar to the one that miners have on networks with mineable coins, which means ha SRs will be running the decentralized TRX network, while also validating blocks in order to provide a smooth system for processing on-chain transactions.
Several hours ago, Sun shared the news about BitTorrent is also entering the race as the famous file-sharing platform has officially confirmed his candidacy for the SR race. Ser Representatives should also ensure complete decentralization, but since Justin Sun is the founder and CEO, also owning BitTorrent, many holders are wondering whether having Sun and BitTorrent potentially (and most likely) becoming SRs goes against the idea of the decentralized ecosystem that the new mainnet should stand for.
Whichever the case, the staking of TRX units through the voting system will decide who will eventually take the 27 places of Super Representatives, while Sun promised not to use any of the TRON units owned by the foundation for the purpose of voting, that way assuring fair elections.
TRON Upcoming Events: TRON Virtual Machine is Coming Out
While Justin Sun has officially stated, even before the declaration of having BitTorrent becoming one of the SR candidates, the CEO of TRON foundation clearly stated that this file-sharing service is going to play a major role in his plan of creating a new fully decentralized internet, which was the primary motif of the purchase of BitTorrent in the first place.
In the meanwhile, several hours ago, Sun reminded the public on the countdown to the release of TVM (TRON Virtual Machine), which is scheduled to take place several days from now, on July 30th.
Although TRX has never gone above the value of 0.20$, as recorded back at the beginning of January, many of TRON holders believe that their favorite asset will break the value of 1$ per one unit by the end of the following year.
