I do it all the time and have not been robbed yet. Though I was a skeptic and still somewhat am... Somehow, someway - it seems to work

It's not a bad way to spend an hour a day IMO. I use to be more involved and am becoming more active again. Seems to pay off when you invest in content you create.

I wouldn't recommend promoting junk posts though, I see a lot of people do that.
