Adventures in Steemit #6: Promoting Steemit One Minnow at a Time

Since the last adventure I've been thinking of ways to promote Steemit beyond Steemit. Here's a few ways - What do you do?

I think the influence is important. If more people join and stay on Steemit then things will get better for everyone.

We need to get the price of Steem back up to at least to $1USD and I personally believe it will get back when more people join - especially popular people who have influence to bring their audience over to here.

I know I'm like the most profound and popular person in the universe, but it really does take people all over.

Like a lot of people I too left Facebook, but I do still have an Instagram and Twitter account. So, whenever I post on Steemit, I link on those platforms to get people to come here.

I probably could meme more often. Perhaps build a meme a day, and blog about it once aday - then let people meme that for the day. Something like that.

I run a few websites and I have banners and buttons pointing to my Steemit blog.

I think that Steemit needs more media exposure. I have only heard of Steemit through word of mouth.

Right now it's just us who are making this happen. So every little bit counts.

I thought of printing small paper ads for people to check out the blog. Have some kind of QR code that people can scan and boom direct to the blog page. They could all be different and new ones made for each blog I post. Then have a bunch of these printed up and leave them places I sit. I'd been thinking of starting a new habit of living at the coffee shop while I blog away on Steemit. When/if I can afford coffee at those joints then yeah that's what I'll do, but in such case I would leave them there. Also can leave them on a bench... can even ask some places if they would accept to have them as a stack.

If you're really bold - make a qr code of your steemit blog and print out stickers for people to scan and visit.

These are just some ideas on spreading Steemit. I'm sure there are many others.
