Great and practical sugestions.
About new users, since I'm quite new as well, I'm constantly looking in the introduceyourself tag, but not finding quality stuff.

Is there some service, or another way to look for new users to support?

    You could try looking at the feed for tags you are interested in. It can be a lot of work to find the good ones.
