How to Delete Your Steemit Account

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Greetings Steemians.
I’ve been watching some people who have left Steemit without any warning; they have left all their things without even saying goodbye. On the other hand, I have noticed some discomfort because they have not managed to find the method to eliminate their accounts and nobody explains how to do it, nobody offers them a helping hand.

Today, I’ll be that helping hand and I will show you how to delete your account. But first we’ll review the possible causes, those causes that led you to the idea of wanting to leave Steemit.

Causes of your departure

Cat Allergy *

I already imagine what you feel every time a kitten jumps in your post. It doesn’t matter if you do it in English or Spanish, there is always one to remind you not to plagiarize. It’s Stressful.

They don’t vote you

You publish and publish, but you don’t get votes and when you look for the reasons, the only thing you find is: quality, quality, you must publish quality ... and you think, "This isn’t what those YouTube videos said"

They don’t follow you

How that is possible, all those comments of: "follow back", and nobody wants to follow you; what ungrateful people.

No comment on your post

I think you have to understand them here; surely they also have allergies to cats and just see the cats in your post, they run.

Your vote is worthless

Jesus, what is that injustice? Why do not they give everyone the same voting power? Where is the equality they proclaim? What does it mean that you have to earn it with work? It’s Unheard.

Consequences of deleting your account

These are the stages that you’ll live when you leave Steemit.

Unbelief

It happened and you don't believe it. You take refuge in your old social networks to not think about your next publication.

Denial

Your unbelief will increase and go further, to the stage of denial. You keep the illusion of publishing again and now it'll be different, they'll vote for you, they'll follow you and comment on your post. You doubts if you made the right decision.

Depression

You begin to realize what you have lost and how your life has changed. You begin to feel a deep fear of what your future holds.

Guilt

You'll think that you failed and you'll not stop thinking, how your posts would have been better. You'll not forgive yourself and then blame others; you’ll feel that they are a sect where they didn't welcome you.

Fury

You'll feel a true betrayal of the tutorials you saw on YouTube: "how to make money fast in Steemit". You write comments on their accounts, unleashing all your anger.

How to Delete your Steemit Account

The first thing you have to make sure: Don’t listen to anything that others say, because they’ll insist that you can’t, and yes, you can; you must convince yourself of this.

1) Acceptance

As faster as you accept that you won’t look for an up vote, better for you. In case you've published a lot, this stage will be more difficult, but the most important thing is that you don’t obsessed with the idea of republishing.

2) Remember the Negative

This will increase your rage and motivate you to keep going. Think about all the times that pesky felines harried your post. Think of the loneliness of your account without any comment, just the bot of steemitboad and the cats. Think of the times you were ignored while commenting on other posts or accused of spam. Think about when your reputation down rather than increasing as the rest of the sect. Remember everything, everything negative...

3) Stay away from everything that reminds you of Steemit.

Save your camera for a while. Do not get in any contest. Forget the good spelling. Do not create content, only shares the other. Do not comment on any publication in RRSS, less congratulating someone for its great content. Stay away from everything that implies "Quality".

4) Write a letter

Yes, write about everything you wanted to publish and did not do. Write what you feel and everything you wanted to say to the community. Release your anger and drain it in that letter, but save it well, so that no one realizes that you can’t live without Steemit.

5) Meet New Social Networks

The most important thing here is that you do not compare them, because if you do, you will always find a reason to return. Live your new path; appreciate the new networks you find and soon you will take care of them. Keep your heart open to know new platforms, without intentions of having a formal relationship that will come little by little.

Don'ts

Do not consent to yourself. Do not even think about going to a spa, or signing up for a course, or a gym, because you'll want to post a new experience.

If you follow these steps, you will see that in a while, you've deleted your account Steemit ... your heart. Cannot delete the account in the Blockchain? Forget the blockchain; what matters is your heart. Heal and get over it.

Note:

Cats are: @cheetah and @lince who will jump to your post if you commit plagiarism

"As faster as you accept that you won’t look for an up vote, better for you" maybe you mean "the faster you accept the fact that you might not get an upvote, the better" ?

Hello friend, all the text is sarcasm :p

I am just correcting some grammar here.

ok sorry my english is not very good

This had me laughing!! "Think of the loneliness of your account without any comment, just the bot of steemitboad and the cats." Too funny! Thank you for the laugh!- This is a quality post.
