Tone Vays actually had a lot of great content in his 8-video “CryptoScam” series. Despite his excellent reporting, there was a huge bull market in the altcoins this past year which seemed to happen coincidentally just after he produced his videos.

Mostly tounge-in-cheek, and to demonstrate just how difficult it is to predict market prices, I decided to check the results of a simple trading strategy: What if you had put $1,000 in every “Scam”, on the day that Tone Vays released his video? The results are below

Conclusion and Totals
Given the show-by-show breakdown above, we see that if you followed the simple strategy of investing $1,000 in each “Scam” on the day each video was released, you would have a grand total of $403,285 today, for a return of more than 40x.

The only investment that would have lost money was OneCoin. It’s not entirely clear if it was even possible to invest in OneCoin at the time of the video, as Wikipedia says they shut down some time in January, but we’ll still give Tone credit for that one.

If you ignore Gold and Bitcoin, and only put money in the 8 other “Scams”, you would be left with $387,801, for a 48.47x or 4747.5% return on your $8,000 investment.
