I started experimenting with exchanging steem into bitcoin using blocktrades. It seemed to me after a bunch of tries elsewhere (all of which succeeded due to very careful attention) that blocktrades.us is the best and simplest alternative for trading.

I have one issue though that I am trying to figure out - any ideas?

Transfering Steem to BTC takes only 5 easy steps:

Step 1 - Copy your wallet address

Step 2 - Visit to blocktrades.us and enter amount of steem or SBD you want to trade

(please ensure you are visiting the blocktrades real website).

Step 3 - Paste wallet address you copied in Step 1

Step 4 - Copy memo received from blocktrades (in gold)

NOTE: BE VERY CAUTIOUS WITH YOUR CLIPBOARD!

Step 5 - Paste memo in TRANSFER window of Steem or SBD and Send to @blocktrades

That's it! Check your wallet and you should receive your Bitcoins in less than 10 minutes! It's truly AMAZING!

Only problem is, in my case 5.42 Steem only banked be $1.72! I was quite surprised at this difference and am looking for someone who knows steemit platform well enough to know why this happened. Fees?
