STEEM 23% up. Dead cat bouncing or the first step to next years rise to new highs?

Hooray! Finally we see the Steem price above a $ again. 1 $ and 9 cents on coinmcap as I write.

This autumn alts has really bled in btc price, as well as coming to a halt in gaining market capitalization individually with some few exceptions. Steem is no exception, and has been wobbling around and mostly under a $. Since early November things has been looking better, but it took until the 22nd of November, today, until this reached Steem. I've been hodling all the time. Although I believe Steem is not really ready for the big masses to flock to yet, we have to keep in mind that we are still accessing it in beta mode. New platforms liked to Steem are being made, D-tube as a video platform and now recently, dmania, giving the community a platform like 9GAG to post memes and gifs.

Seeing new development adding to the platform is obviously positive, taking inspiration from other popular platforms and adding them to the same interface is a really good move. Maybe even a genius move. Personally I still hope for a more facebook-like platform added with a messaging feature. And I believe that it will come looking at what the team has added lately. Investfeed is also on the same path, pushing the development to maybe accelerate some.
