3 easy to do things that I miss as a new user

in #steemit7 years ago

Hey! As the title suggest I am a new user to steemit, so I might point out some things that are curelently avaible but I just do not know about. Anyway...

  1. Customable general Tags!
    tags.PNG 1 - Favorite button. 2 - Up down and reset buttons.
    3 - special magical tag.

I can see that the tags take in account the popularity of their usage or something like that, but for me it is not enough. For example I do not want to see things with a 3 lines of A's even if that tag is super popular.
What I will love to do is to be able to customase my tags: To be able to select some personal favorites, to change the order of the tags, both favorite and non favorite and ofcourse to be able to reset the mes that I made. Most of the time I know what subjects atracts me so there is no need to be force to endure the pain of seeing other things :D even if I apreciate the ability to see them. I do not want to see them all the time

  1. Better My Feed page!

feed.PNG
1 - Selected tag; 2 - Unselect button; 3 - All my selected tags; 4 - Reset button for selected tags; 5 - not selected tag with a plus sign to add it to selected ones

I can understand that on this website some users pres the follow button just to get atention, but I do not consider that the way of punishing them is to have a messy My Feed for all the users.
On top of that I do not think that it is a good idea to push users to create more then one account, because among other reasons the waiting time for account confirmation is already huge. For example I want to post things from a variety of topics and I do not want to be forced to specialise myself on one thing just because followers are not interested in all my interests and I do not want to create more than one account either. So steemit please fix this

  1. Notifications!

notification.PNG
1-notifications about my activity; 2- notifications about the activity from my feed

I will start by saying that this notification thing has it's draw back (huge numbers of notification's), but I guess that this is a suggestion good enough for a start.

Having a easy fast way to see when someone likes or comments on something that I written is a big plus. I am aware that there is already a special page for this (witch is crap by the way), but the main problem with how things are done right now is that it forces me to stop browsing content just because I am curious to see if someone said something. Not to say that I give a slow response to comments because of this (I am aware that some users spread the comments on their own post just to keep it on hot, but to does users I say fuck you! you put value more on your stupid 3c than on people and that is a shitty thing to do that also brings the value of steemit down)

The same rule applies to people that I follow. Personally when I press the follow button I do it because I am interested in that users content, not to get a follow in exchange in the hope that I will get also some extra 0.0001c to my wallet. So I want to receive a notice as soon as possible from someone that I am interested in.
It would also be nice to see when one of my followers likes something, I do not want to see that following users likes play a huge role for me, but it will be nice to see at least a small notification of lets say 4% of their likes (upvotes)

As I said I am a new user, so please correct me if you think that I am wrong about something.
I cannot wait to see what you guys have to say about my suggestion and why not, to see what other suggestions you have
