Three Weeks ago we stumbled upon an algorithm named skunk.
We saw it popping up in list of algorithms on NemosMiner.
A miner we use when the markets are fluctuating badly.
It is the weird algo name that drew our attention. My partner looked deeper into the algorithm.

It seemed the coin signatum was linked to it. There was no whitepaper available yet.
So it was hard to understand what the coin actually stands for. My parter desided to look for a standalone miner. Which happened to be the CCminer from SP-Mod. At the day we got a return of 900 Coins with both of our rigs dedicated to it.
The same day the prices started rising and it went to about $0.12! That is $108 DAILY! While we normaly have a daily return of $25... We were ecstatic! So we continued..
We sold some to get a fast profit when the market quickly turned downwards. We kept about 1000 Sigt coins for a future invest as the mining profit was too low after a couple of days.. Time passed and we checked daily but no signs of improvement.

After the bitcoin Fork signatum was gaining momentem again.. Last week we started mining and found a private miner on bitcointalk. CCminer SPMod #5 Which gave us a extra 30% return. In total we mined about 4000 sigt coins.
We investigated the project some more and found some really good videos on youtube explaining the project.

We made some more profits as signatum rose to $0.15 but that did'nt last long. After 2 days the party was over..
My collegue woke up this morning and sold 2000 sigt at 2200 SAT as a bit of a panic sell.. It seemed that 2200 satoshi was about the lowest the market went for now. We totalled at $185 for 3 days of mining. We could have met our current electricity target for QR3 (3 months of mining) if we kept all our coins from the start.
But whatever we are still learning, and still made a bigger profit then when we kept mining on Nemosminer or Ethereum.

We learned from this experience..I have to withhold my partner from his emotional rollercoasters :)

At the moment it's not wise to mine signatum as the difficulty became higher and the rewards per block are halved.
It's better to wait for a good low on the market and then buy some coins for the long run.
