STEEMIANS LET's SHOW LOVE TO HUMANITY

in #steemit7 years ago

Hello Steemians, i love people and always look at them and ask the question, "how can I love them more dearly?", yes I know someone will say equity and fairness, others may say equality, while yet others, just respect all.

But I will say there is no other way to respond than to make everyone we meet in our journey of life to be human, someone with dignity, someone that we respect no matter who they are.Muchlove for steemit time 20180114_160129.jpg

Let me narrate my experience just about 30minutes ago, walking down the road, saw a guy, not well groomed, approached me and said he is hungry please I just need to eat.

Gave him some cash, I asked him please can I talk to you as you walk to get something to eat, he turned and looked at me and said, "no one walks with me because am dirty, they just cross to the other side when they see me, so why walk with me?"

I looked at him straight in the eyes and told him, you are never dirty, but just not well groomed, that if you have access to a bathroom you will not be dirty, he laughed and said are you a pastor, I said am not a pastor, for I don't need to be religious to see some good in him.

Then he broke down in tears, I also fighting back mine, and he told me do I know I am the first person this year that has stood with him on the road to speak with him? I reminded him, I wasn't the only one but others were just too occupied with his appearances so they could not stand and have any conversation, same way some people too will not like to talk to me since I don't wear designer labels, we are all victims.

We parted our ways and he got my number, hoping our friendship can blossom.

I have learnt one vital lesson today, never think you are a human until you make someone else feel the same.

My goal for every Steemians: Make everyone you meet "human", with the way we relate with them, no one is dirty they are just not well groomed, might even be your standard of grooming might be higher than theirs, but no matter what, they are first humans and they deserve to be treated as such with dignity
