Two recommendations on how to improve steemit!

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Hello my fellow steemians,

....

You know these days I've been struggling with something on steemit, I have some ideas on how to make this beautiful community even better.

1. Enabling Facebook videos on steemit.

Have you ever seen a great facebook video that you wanted to share on steemit.

Well you can, but you need to undertake some procedures, like downloading the video from facebook and then uploading it to youtube and then post the link here.

You can download videos of facebook from http://fbdown.com/, but then you are breaching author rights by uploading a video from someone else into your Youtube account.

This is why I'd suggest that steemit would enable also facebook videos to be added in our blog by just copy/pasting the link.

2. Notifications in important posts.

Have you ever been part of a contest and you want to be updated in the case that someone posts something better than you in that specific article.

Imagine you are part of a contest that somebody is giving a great price and you are eager to win it. But you have to check every second whether someone else is posting something better or just a better solution.

Wouldn't it make your life easier if you could have an option notify me in an article, and you would get notifications when someone comments or upvotes that post.

I myself believe that steemit is our home and with great creativity and ideas we can upgrade it to the new level and make it better and better.

Agreed. Facebook Videos. Highlight Notifications. And more. Those are two things we need to say the least for Steemit. Steemit could become like Wordpress in the ability to edit HTML or other codes in order to allow Facebook videos and other customizations. Upvoted. Resteemed.

Agreed. I've been caught out a couple of times with comments on my older posts and I haven't been notified to respond!

I totally agree, i think steemit has a long way to go before it is user friendly!
