Common Steemit Mistakes to Avoid

For the passed weeks that I have been on Steemit community I noticed some common mistakes to avoid especially the newborn.

Avoid upvoting popular content with the mindset that the more amount the post makes the more curation, it's always good to upvote a post without expecting curations but if you would like to curate a post Vote then you should consider upvoting a new post not too early or not too late, say from 20mins.

Unvoting a post is also very essential to the system. You have to be very careful when upvoting a post because there is what is called Voting Power (VP) and reputation, the moment you upvote a post your VP reduces by a certain percentage so the aspect of unvoting or removing your upvote from a post does not increase your VP. You can see my voting power, reputation and others. Monitoring your voting power is very important.

Lastly be very careful with bidding bot, I recently gave my private posting key to voting bot with the hope of getting back upvotes or curations from post, however they used me to upvote posts every 1 hour. Boy! It wasn't funny and that also affected my voting power, I have to generating a new private posting key to resolve it.
