Best Categories to Post in – to Make the Most Steam Dollars

I, like many others am relatively new to the Steam Platform. So, I've been getting to grips with what's popular, what others like to read about, and which posts are the most successful.

I wanted to figure out if there was a category that (on average) gives authors the best return on their time, by offering a larger payout per post.

I decided to do a little research, comparing the most popular categories (by number of posts) against the amount of Steam paid out for each category, creating an average Steam Per Post (SPP) figure for each of the categories.

Although a rudimentary analysis, it should help give some rough guidance for newbies like me as to where to put their blogging efforts to generate a maximum return.

So, here it goes here are the top 10 categories ranked by average payout per post:

I've removed some of the smaller categories (less than 250 posts) to try and exclude any anomalies where payouts are large, but only for one particular post or article.

As you can see then, the top 10 include quite a few categories related to cryptocurrencies. The introduce yourself category offers .

In conclusion, if you're looking for a maximum return on your investment on the Steemit platform (and you're an expert in Crypto Currencies) it could be best to focus on posting in categories such as Crypto-News, BitShares, Poloniex or similar.
